What is your professional background like?

I graduated from high school in 2018 and started my combined studies at phenox right after.

How was your application process like?

After writing an application to phenox, I was invited for an interview and trial work at phenox and at their partner company Gaedigk.

How are your studies structured?

My working week is divided into vocational school, practical training in the workshop and studies at the technical college. I also attended various inter-company courses throughout my training. During my work at the partner company Geadigk, I learn the precision mechanical skills needed for the final exams. Among other things, I make practice pieces that teach me all the skills that will be tested in an exam. These include milling and turning metal, for example.

Why did you choose phenox as a training company?

The medical technology field interests and fascinates me and at the same time I wanted to do something manual. Phenox offers me the opportunity to combine this.

What career goals have you set for yourself?

To gain professional and qualitative competence in a pleasant working atmosphere.

Why would you recommend starting a apprenticeship training at phenox?

Someone who starts his apprenticeship at phenox can expect nice colleagues, a good working atmosphere as well as interesting and varied tasks every day.

What is it like competing as a woman in a male-dominated field of work?

At phenox you are respected and valued. Everyone can contribute their expertise without hindrance.

What advice would you give to a young woman who wants to pick up a so-called male profession?

I would recommend it to anyone who can and wants to contribute confidently to a male-dominated team. However, you should not shy away from challenges.

What excites you most about phenox?

I am passionate about the development and manufacturing of medical devices for the treatment of neurovascular diseases.

What do you look forward to most when you come to work?

To always having new and varied tasks and to the daily exchange and nonsense with colleagues.
